Accident Ferry sinks in Philippines; 3 dead, 22 missing

The Philippine coast guard says a passenger ferry has sunk near an island south of Manila, leaving three dead and 22 missing.

The coast guard says 63 people have been rescued in waters off Batangas province south of Manila where the ferry lited and sank late Saturday.
The cause of the accident is not clear.
On Christmas Eve, a wooden-hulled ferry with 73 people on board collided with a fishing vessel near the mouth of Manila Bay, with 24 people still missing.
